When It Snows in July

The purpose of this project was to illustrate a children's book in pairs that an assigned author created. Our story was "When it Snows in July." We had to sketch our characters out with pencil and paper, then digitally trace and color them. Our backgrounds were created entirely in Illustrator using many layers of shapes, texture, gradients, and lines. Finally, our characters and backgrounds were combined and sent to InDesign. In this program, our book was laid out along with the words. We printed our book and stapled it together to finish it. View the finished product below.
